Shuffle Off to Buffalo 0.5K
September 21 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Inaugural “Shuffle Off to Buffalo 0.5K” is a tongue-in-cheek, fun, Family-Friendly event that lampoons the typical 5K run. Participants will walk, run and shuffle a full 546 yards around Canalside to complete their race, all the while raising funds for the Ovarian Cancer Project.
There will be 3 “races”, starting at 1230pm, 130pm and 230pm. Folks 17 and over will kick things off, followed by Mascots with happy, screaming kids. Finally our “VIP”s and Celebs will compete in the final event (they, too, will be happy and screaming!!).
Runners are encouraged to dress in costumes, and bring the whole family. This is the run for the rest of us! T-Shirts & Finisher Medal’s for all!!
Between races, we’ll have prizes, live music, food, vendors & fun. The race is being sanctioned by SLACR, the Society for Lazy and Carefree Runners. The Shuffle benefits the Ovarian Cancer Project. 100% of the funds will be used for our Education & Supportive Programming for women with ovarian cancer, located right here in Western New York.
